On the Sets 'Options & Prices' page you can modify the contents of the set to suit your project! We also include a drawing showing the primary movement, dial and pendulum, installation dimensions. Oakside will remove the moon arches from all 250mm & 280mm moon dials to provide 250 & 280mm square versions.

On the Clock Case Hardware page you will find a selection of useful items, including brass rebate hinges, mortise locks, escutcheons, keys and adjustable cabinet leveling feet for your clock. Oakside use these items on its range of clocks!

Please note, when you purchase your mechanical clock parts from Oakside, you are dealing with a dedicated Longcase Clock Designer & Maker, not just a shop! We will readily examine you clock drawings to ensure that your design will be able to accommodate the Kieninger movement of your choice. We will also provide telephone assistance when you are installing the mechanicals and commissioning your clock. Our expertise will ensure that your new clock will perform perfectly!

Clockmakers Set 22 featuring the Kieninger PS 057, 80cm movement

The standard set includes the following parts: You can modify the Sets contents on the Options and Prices page!

  • Movement: Kieninger PS 057 - 80cm.
  • Dial: Oakside 180mm diameter white dial (including hands) with black Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial and a brass rim.
  • Pendulum: Kieninger 80cm Timber Pendulum with a 140mm Brass Bob. 19mm wide stick
  • Pendulum parts: Pendulum leader 164mm, PL between 72 & 116cm. B-0444-000
  • Pulleys: Two brass pulleys.
  • Weight Shells: Two - 50mm x 160mm with small hooks
  • Shell Fillings: Two lead @ 3.1kg. 48mm x 160mm
  • Gongs: 133mm Coil gong Kieninger PS
  • Mounting: Casts Brass Mounting Bracket and fixing screws.
  • Plans: Kieninger movement installation drawing is included with all Sets.

Please note that all metal dials are supplied fitted to a back plate with four pillars - this connects directly to the front plate of the movement ensuring accurate positioning.

The movement specifications. Plate size 114mm x 99mm x 2.0mm. A dead-beat Graham escapement, Over swinging the pendulum will automaticaly correct the tick (beat).

A pendant allows you to select Automatic Night Silencing (10PM until 7-15AM), Continuous Chiming or Silent. The PS movement chimes the hours and strikes on the half-hour on a round gong.

The PS 80cm movement requires a clock cabinet internal height of 885mm, a width of 205mm and a depth of 123mm measured from the front of the hand-shaft to the rear panel; To achieve eight-day running the weights need to be able to drop 760 mm, measured between the centre of the dial and the inside bottom of the cabinet.

When using the timber pendulum with a 140mm bob, the distance from the hand-shaft to the centre of the bob is 760mm. The swing is about 240mm.

When using the grid pendulum with a 140mm bob, the distance from the hand-shaft to the centre of the bob is 720mm. The swing is about 200mm.

The distance from the rear panel to the front face of the weight is approximately 100mm.

The Dial, Hands and Movement are supplied assembled and we will attach these items to the mounting bracket. We supply a drilling template so that you can easily drill the seven holes in the rear board - the movement set & chimes can then be easily mounted using the special bolts included in the set.

PLANS - We now offer clock building plans on the Options and Prices page, these can be modified in cabinet depth to accept various Kieninger movements.
